There are 252 different openings being tested, which will result in 1512 total games being played. This not only avoids some of the problems seen in the current TCEC tournament, it also makes it easy for anyone else to reproduce & verify the tournament results. I'm restricting the test to normal hardware that most people can afford and only publicly released versions of the chess engines. I'm currently about 1.5 weeks into a 9-week tournament to figure out which of the three top chess engines is actually better – Houdini, Komodo and Stockfish.
